Jean-Paul Riopelle always looked to nature for a large measure of inspiration. The snow goose first appeared in his art in the early 1980s and his love and respect for the snow goose are intimately interwoven in the way he portrays this amazing traveller. The subtle play of gold and silver tones in Riopelle’s work shines with a luminescence and emotional texture that leave no one indifferent.
This silkscreen print required 48 passes, the use of gold and silver powder and all the talent and skills of printer Pierre Auger. The work of art is printed on Stonehenge 245-gram paper and is the same size as the original piece (73 cm x 91 cm). The draw is limited to 75 prints. Each copy is numbered and signed by Jean-Paul Riopelle. This is an exceptional work of art that will increase in value over time.
